Jen Conely was named the head women's basketball coach in July of 2018, and now enters her fifth season at the helm of the Rangers women's basketball team.
In 2021-22, her fourth season at the helm, Conley led the Rangers to a 15-14 overall record with a 12-9 GLIAC record. Fueled by an eight-game win streak from Jan.29-Feb. 19, the Rangers entered the GLIAC tournament as the sixth seed. There, they dropped the first game to third seed Wayne State, The 2021-22 season saw Alyssa Nelson earn her third straight First Team All-GLIAC recognition, along with GLIAC Player of the Year, the GLIAC Commissioner Award, and being named WBCA Honorable-Mention All-America. This season also saw Hannah Plockelman earn Second Team All-GLIAC and GLIAC All-Defensive Team.Â
Conely completed her third season after the shortened 2020-2021 season when she led the Rangers to an 11-10 overall record with a 9-9 GLIAC record. The Rangers entered the GLIAC tournament with the #8 seed and defeated #9 Ferris State in the opening round. The Green & White would go on to upset #2 Grand Valley State in the quarter-finals, before falling to #6 Ashland in the semi-finals. Their success saw a All-Tournament Team, First Team All-GLIAC, and All-Defensive Team recognition for Alyssa Nelson.
She completed her second season after the 2019-20 campaign when she led the team to a 16-14 overall record and 12-8 GLIAC record. With that conference record, the Rangers entered the GLIAC tournament as the four seed, and took down the five-seeded Northern Michigan Wildcats in the Quarterfinals. Following, they fell to the eventual GLIAC champion, undefeated, and No. 2 overall nationally ranked, Ashland. The successful season saw a First Team All-GLIAC selection from Alyssa Nelson, and two All-GLIAC Second Teamers, with Taylor Stephen and Carolina Rahkonen receiving awards. Stephen was also selected to the GLIAC All-Defense Team.
In her first year as head coach, and schools first year in the GLIAC, Conely led the team to a 12-15 record and 10-10 GLIAC record.Â
Conely was an assistant coach at Walsh University in 2017-18, a Division II program in Ohio. In her only year with the Cavaliers, she helped the team to a 21-9 overall record and a 17-5 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Before Walsh, Conely spent a season at Ursuline College where she saw the team finish 23-8 and make an NCAA appearance.

Conely is familiar with UW-Parkside, having spent eight years at the University of Indianapolis as an assistant coach. With the Greyhounds, Conely helped the program go 155-88 and make six NCAA appearances. Primarily working with the guards and forwards, Conely saw 14 All-Conference performers in her time at Indy, including a pair of All-Americans.

Conely played two seasons at Florida Gulf Coast right before the program turned Division I. In her final season with the Eagles, she helped the team to a 34-0 record before falling in the NCAA Division II championship game. In her junior season, FGCU went 29-2 and fell in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Conely has an extensive teaching background as well, as she taught history/science at the high school level before becoming an adjunct professor at Indianapolis for over five years. At Indy, she taught teaching/coaching classes along with fitness/wellness classes.

The Warren, Minn., native earned her Associates Degree in liberal arts from Lake Region State College in 2005 and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in secondary education & social science from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2007. After her time in Florida, she earned her Master's Degree in history from the University of Indianapolis in 2009.
