Bo Brasseur joined Parkside Athletics as the Cross Country / Track & Field Graduate Assistant Coach on Aug. 1, 2020.
A native of Lubbeek, Belgium, Brasseur graduated high school in 2016 from Koninklijk Athneum Tienen with majors of Science and Modern Languages. Following high school, attended Western Illinois University where she ran track, and eventually graduated in the spring of 2020 with a 3.9 GPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics with minors in French and Forensic Science.
While at Western Illinois, Brasseur set numerous records for the Leathernecks, including both the indoor and outdoor long jump record, as well as the 4x400m. The Belgian also won two Summit League titles for long jump, and finished third in the 4x400m. In 2020, she was nominated as the department’s 2020 NCAA Women of the Year. In August of 2020, Brasseur claimed the Belgian National Long Jump title with a mark of 5.98 meters.
