2014: Played and started in 42 games for the Rangers. Finished with 25 hits, 18 runs and six RBIs while leading the team in walks with 17. Defensively, recorded 52 putouts while leading the team in assists with 100.

Previous College: Transferred from Pittsburg State University (Kan.) where the right-handed hitting infielder redshirted with the Gorillas.

High School: Thompson attended Park Hill High School where he was an All-Conference selection as a junior and senior while also claiming the team's Offensive Player of the Year award.
