Chris Solinsky is the most accomplished distance runner in Wisconsin history. A six-time Wisconsin state champion and four-time first-team prep all-American for Stevens Point Area High School, Chris went on to star at Wisconsin as a five-time NCAA titlist and 14-time all-American. As a professional in 2010, he ran 26:59.60 for a U.S. record in the 10K in his first race at the distance to become the first non-African under 27:00. Just over a month later, he ran 12:56.66 at the Bislett Games in Oslo, missing Dathan Ritzenhein’s U.S. record by .39 second, before again lowering his 5K time a month later. Solinsky is now an assistant track and cross country coach at the College of William & Mary and is still training with his eye on the 2016 Olympics
