College: Started at first base for the Heartland Hawks during the 2008 and 2009 campaigns ... At Heartland Gilles strived and earned All-Conference and 2nd team All-American as a sophomore... Gilles was selected Region 24 Player of the Year in 2009 ... Gilles transferred to University of Arkansas-Little Rock after Heartland ... Redshirted in 2010 and played 12 games for University of Arkansas-Little Rock in 2011.
