KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside bounced back from an early three-run deficit Saturday afternoon at Historic Simmons Field, erupting for 13 unanswered runs after the first inning to defeat Roosevelt 13-3 in seven innings.
Roosevelt came out swinging in the top of the first, using a two-run double from CJ Chalk and an RBI single from Jack Hoh to grab a quick 3-0 lead.
The Rangers responded immediately in the bottom half without recording a hit.
Angel Rades and
Benjamin Loyd drew walks before
Dylan Sayles was hit by a pitch to load the bases. A wild pitch brought home two runs, and
Josh Wicker tied the game with a sacrifice fly.
Parkside took control in the second when
Noah Goddard was hit by a pitch ahead of
Nathan Hanel's two-run homer to left, giving the Rangers a 5-3 advantage.
The offense kept rolling in the third.
Jackson Lindquist launched a solo homer before Goddard added an RBI single.
Hayden Dieschbourg followed with a two-run blast, pushing the lead to 9-3.
After three scoreless innings, Parkside put the game away in the sixth. The Rangers capitalized on walks, wild pitches, and another RBI knock from Goddard to score four more runs and end the day early.
Hanel finished 2-for-3 with a home run, double, and two RBIs, while Goddard also drove in two runs. Lindquist and Dieschbourg each homered as Parkside totaled three home runs in the win.
On the mound,
Carson Klaus earned the victory in relief, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings, while
Kyler Kennen closed it out with 2.1 shutout innings.

The Rangers head to Allendale, Michigan for their final GLIAC regular season series against Grand Valley State. Parkside opens the series Thursday at 2:00 PM, continues with a doubleheader Friday, and wraps up the regular season Saturday.
