Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 KENOSHA, Wis. -The Parkside Rangers dropped both games of a GLIAC doubleheader to the Wayne State Warriors on Saturday at Historic Simmons Field, falling 6–2 in the opener before a 17–7 loss in the nightcap.

Game 1
Wayne State struck first in the second inning, plating two runs to take an early 2–0 lead. Parkside answered in the bottom half, as Joe Mrowiec drove in a run to cut the deficit to 2–1. That would be as close as the Rangers would get, however, as Warriors starter Gavin Nash settled in and controlled the game from there.

The turning point came in the fifth inning when Wayne State launched a pair of two-out home runs from Owen Tuccinardi and Bennett Hitzelberger, extending the lead to 4–1. The Warriors added two more runs in the sixth to create separation.

Parkside managed just five hits on the afternoon, highlighted by a triple from Dylan Sayles and an RBI single from Josh Wicker in the seventh inning. Despite the late push, the Rangers were unable to generate sustained offense, going 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

On the mound, Brennen Miller took the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) over 5.1 innings while striking out three. The bullpen of Isaiah Terrell and Chase Powrozek combined to keep Wayne State scoreless over the final 1.2 innings.

Nash earned the complete-game victory for Wayne State, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out four and issuing no walks.

The Parkside Rangers dropped the second game of Saturday's doubleheader to the Wayne State Warriors, falling 17–7 at Historic Simmons Field.

Game 2
Parkside got on the board first in the second inning, as Benjamin Loyd drove in a run to give the Rangers a 1–0 lead. That advantage held until the fourth inning, when Wayne State erupted for eight runs to take control of the game. The Warriors used timely hitting and power, highlighted by a two-out home run from Tony Hatzigeorgiou and a three-run blast from Drew Hill to flip the game to an 8–1 lead.

Wayne State continued its offensive surge in the fifth inning, plating six more runs. The inning featured multiple home runs, including another from Hatzigeorgiou, along with long balls from Bennett Hitzelberger and Caleb Sanders, extending the lead to 14–1.

The Warriors added three more runs in the sixth inning to push the score to 17–1.

Parkside responded in the bottom of the sixth with its biggest inning of the day, scoring six runs. Trace Kirchberg highlighted the rally with a solo home run, while Noah Goddard delivered a two-run single. Angel Rades added an RBI, and the Rangers capitalized on timely hits to cut the deficit to 17–7.

Despite the offensive burst, Parkside could not carry the momentum into the seventh, as Wayne State closed out the game to secure the win.

The Rangers finished with 10 hits, led by Kirchberg's two-hit, two-RBI performance. Mason Mitacek and Hayden Bowman each added extra-base hits, while Loyd and Goddard contributed key RBIs.

On the mound, Leo Berger took the loss after allowing six runs over 3.2 innings. Carter Storti and Braden Sayles were unable to slow the Warriors' offense in relief, as Wayne State totaled 18 hits in the game. Adam Gerl provided a bright spot out of the bullpen, tossing a scoreless seventh inning while working around traffic and recording two strikeouts.

With the loss, Parkside moves to 11–8 overall and 0–3 in GLIAC play.
