4/15/2025 1:11:00 PM

Kenosha, Wis. – Following a blemish last weekend, Parkside will look to bounce back this weekend. The Rangers will play host to Missouri S&T, with the series beginning on Thursday at Historic Simmons Field and running through Saturday afternoon. This marks the beginning of a 10-game homestand—the final homestand of the season.

Scouting Parkside:

  • The Rangers enter the weekend on their longest losing streak of the season after being swept by Davenport.

  • They are 23-12 overall and sit just two wins away from reaching the 25-win mark for the first time since 2006.

  • In non-conference play, Parkside is an excellent 15-4.

  • Owen Brock (.455) and Peter Fusek (.449) remain in the top ten in batting average in the nation.

  • Parkside's offense still possesses the best team batting average in the conference at .323.

  • Parkside's pitching has struggled as of late, falling to sixth in the GLIAC with a team ERA of 6.83.

Scouting Missouri S&T:

  • The Miners of Missouri S&T are slated for a non-conference battle against Pittsburg State on Tuesday afternoon, and enter the week 21-15 and 13-11 in GLVC action.

  • They have been solid at home with an 11-6 record, but just 7-8 in games on the road.

  • The Miners are in 7th place in the GLVC with just two weeks to go.

  • Missouri S&T and Parkside have one similar opponent this season, Southwest Baptist. Parkside swept them in a four game set, Missouri S&T took two-of-three.

  • Their strength has been their pitching–with a GLVC-best 4.78 ERA. They also lead the conference in batting average against (.237).

  • Will Beckham has been the offensive catalyst, with a .395 batting average, and an OPS of 1.179.

The former GLVC foes, Parkside and Missouri S&T, have a rich history of action dating back to 2004. The all-time series is at a stalemate of 21-21. However, they haven't met since 2019 and this marks the first meeting in five years, and Missouri S&T have won four straight. Parkside is 8-3 against the program when playing in Kenosha.
