Parkside’s Offense Explodes, Extends Win Streak to Seven

Kenosha, Wis. - Parkside extended their win streak to seven after a pair of dominant victories over Lincoln Missouri on Saturday. The offense was the story for the Rangers, as they posted a total of 35 runs in the two games, winning game one 18-4 and game two 17-6. Parkside is now 11-1 on the season.

GAME ONE
Parkside wasted no time setting the tone, striking for three runs in the opening frame. Dylan Sayles drew a walk and promptly came around to score when Max Johnson delivered a clutch two-run single. Johnson would later cross home plate on a wild pitch, putting the Rangers up 3-0 after one inning.

The second inning was an outright offensive clinic. After a leadoff single by Jackson Lindquist, the Rangers capitalized on wild pitching, which fueled Parkside's rally, capped by a thunderous inside-the-park home run from Sayles that stretched the lead to 12-0 after two innings.

Lincoln pushed across a run in the fourth before a three-run fifth briefly gave them life. However, any thoughts of a comeback were quickly silenced when Parkside tacked on three more runs in the bottom half, punctuated by a towering two-run shot from Sam Mommer in his first at-bat as a Parkside Ranger.

On the mound, Noah Gerritson was solid for the Rangers, tossing five strong innings while allowing just three earned runs and striking out five. The bullpen duo of Charlie Campbell and Nick Tinajero shut the door over the final two innings, preventing Lincoln from gaining any further momentum.

The Rangers' offense was relentless from top to bottom, with Sayles leading the way, going 2-for-3 with four RBIs. John St. Clair contributed three hits, while Angel Rades and Peter Fusek each added multi-hit performances. Parkside also displayed speed on the bases, swiping three bags and capitalizing on every defensive miscue from Lincoln.

GAME TWO
Lincoln jumped out to an early lead, plating two runs in the top of the first on a two-run double from Brody Johns. Parkside responded immediately, capitalizing on a pair of Lincoln errors to put up four runs in the bottom half of the inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Dylan Sayles.

After Lincoln tied the game at four in the top of the second on a two-run homer, the Rangers answered right back. Owen Brock's RBI single and John St. Clair's two-run single helped Parkside regain the lead at 7-4.

The Rangers methodically added to their advantage throughout the game. Andrew Mack launched a solo home run in the fifth, St. Clair added a solo jack in the sixth, and another three-run blast in the seventh to end the game due to the run rule. St. Clair led the offense with six RBIs on a 3-for-5 day, while Sayles went 4-for-5 with two RBIs.

On the mound, William Hyland was excellent in relief, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out four. He also picked up the win.
