MANKATO, Minnesota. - No. 4 Parkside Wrestling fell 22–20 to No. 13 Minnesota State in an NSIC dual. Matthew Chi, Sam Schwabe, Guy Fraley, and Tanner Gormanson earned bout wins for the Rangers.

At 125 pounds, Jacob Fitzpatrick secured a 19–4 technical fall over Dylan Duvernay to put the Mavericks ahead 4–0.

At 133 pounds, Matthew Chi defeated No. 12-ranked Chase Beckett, earning four points for the Rangers. Chi recorded an escape and a takedown in the second period, then added two takedowns and another escape point in the third to seal the win.

In the 141-pound bout, No. 13 Colton Hush defeated Jordan Craft by a 5–2 decision, adding three points to the Mavericks' total and giving Mankato an 8–4 advantage.

Ninth-ranked Walker Bents defeated Troy Dolphin by major decision, 17–4, in the 149-pound bout, adding four points to the Mavericks' total and extending Mankato's lead to 12–4.

In the 157-pound bout, sixth-ranked Caleb Meunier earned an 11–1 major decision over Edwyn Schroeder, adding four points for Mankato and extending the lead to 16–4.

At 165 pounds, Paolo Salminen defeated Nolan Skebba by a 15–12 decision, extending Mankato's lead to 19–4.

Third-ranked Drake Hayward earned a 4–1 decision over Sullivan Ramos at 174 pounds, pushing the Mavericks' lead to 22–4.

Sam Schwabe picked up a 17–0 technical fall for the Rangers over Jaquan East at 184 pounds . Schwabe recorded a takedown, three near-fall points, and a penalty point in the first period, followed by another takedown and two penalty points in the second. He then added four near-fall points in the third to secure the tech fall, earning five points for the Rangers and cutting the deficit to 22–9.

Guy Fraley added another technical fall victory for the Rangers at 197 pounds, defeating Grant Cook. Fraley recorded a takedown in the first period, then earned an escape, another takedown, and eight total near-fall points in the second. The tech fall secured five points for the Rangers, narrowing the score to 22–14.

At 285 pounds, Tanner Gormanson won over Jesus Gonzalez by injury default at 2:38, earning six points for the Rangers and making the final score 22–20.

With the result, Parkside moves to 3–1 in duals and 1–1 in NSIC conference competition. The Rangers now turn their attention to the Midwest Classic, where Parkside will begin competition tomorrow, December 13, at 9:00 a.m., and continue action the following day.
