KENOSHA, Wis. - Parkside Volleyball is excited to announce the addition of three incoming freshman to their 2026 roster.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Emily, Lauren, and Masina to our program," said Barea. "From the start of the recruiting process, it was clear they share a deep competitive spirit and strong leadership qualities. Off the court, they are hardworking, high-achieving students who will make a positive impact on the Parkside community. We are confident this group will elevate our program and make their mark both on and off the court beginning in 2026."
Emily Zaper – 5'10 – Outside – Chicago, Ill. – Mother McAuley Liberal Arts Highschool
Zaper joins Parkside after a successful prep career at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, where she was part of a program that captured back-to-back Girls Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) titles and consecutive regional championships. She also competed with 1st Alliance Volleyball Club.
"Emily is an elite ball-control outside hitter and a fierce competitor. Add in her natural leadership qualities and reliability as a teammate, she is going to make a big impact on our program. Coming from the winning tradition of Mother McAuley High School in Chicago, she understands the hard work and dedication required to contribute at a high level. Emily's commitment to excellence and team-first mentality perfectly align with our core values of our program." – Coach Barea
Lauren Peters – 5'8 – DS/Libero – Fort Wayne, Ind. – Carroll High School
Peters joins Parkside after an impressive high school career at Carroll High School, where she helped lead her team to two IHSAA 4A State Championships. She also competes for Summit Volleyball Club and has been recognized for her excellence in the classroom, earning Academic All-State honors and Honors with Distinction each semester. Additionally, she is a proud member of the National Honor Society.
"We are thrilled to welcome Lauren Peters to our program. Lauren is a high-level passer and defender who plays with a calm yet fiercely competitive edge. Coming off back-to-back state championships at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne and elite training at her club program, she brings a winning pedigree that is going to help continue take our program to new heights." – Coach Barea.
Masina Reuter – 5'8 – Setter – Reedsburg, Wis. – Reedsburg Area High School
Reuter joins Parkside following an impressive prep career at Reedsburg Area High School, where she was a four-year varsity starter. A two-time team MVP, she earned Badger Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2024 and First Team All-Conference recognition in 2025. Reuter holds the RAHS career record for aces and was a two-time recipient of the Bonnie Oetzman Award (2023, 2024). In addition, she was named the Badger Small Athlete of the Month in October 2025 and earned All-State honors that same year. A multi-sport athlete, Reuter also excelled in track and field, earning the team's MVP award in 2025. Academically, she is a two-time Team Academic All-State honoree (2023, 2024) and an individual Academic All-State selection. She will earn Summa Cum Laude honors and served as an officer in the National Honor Society.

Her teammates and coaches describe her as someone who would run through a brick wall for her team, and that competitive drive will elevate our offense and competitiveness in the gym.
