Kenosha, Wis. – After a grueling 41-day hiatus from De Simone Arena, the Parkside Rangers made their return in emphatic fashion, dominating the Roosevelt Lakers with a big 72-46 victory. Four Rangers scored in double figures, propelling the team to their third GLIAC win of the season.

How it happened:
The Rangers jumped out to a blistering hot start, boosting themselves to a 9-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game. Chloe Van Zeeland and Peighton Nelson combined for the nine points, with Van Zeeland hitting a triple in the process. As the quarter progressed, Sheridan Flauger connected on a trifecta to stretch the Parkside led up to 10 points, and the Rangers led 18-10 after the first quarter.

The second quarter saw the Rangers' shooting cool off, but their grit kept them in control. Kendal Zeiter's assist to Kaalyn Petersen in the post helped the Rangers maintain momentum, despite some turnovers. An 8-2 run, fueled by Flauger, Arni, and Nelson, sent Parkside into halftime with a comfortable 32-21 advantage.

Emerging from the break, the Rangers turned up the heat. A commanding 40-25 second-half performance showcased their depth and persistence. Kendal Zeiter stepped up in the third quarter, scoring eight points and dishing out two assists. Meanwhile, Kaalyn Petersen dominated the paint, scoring eight of her 12 points in the final 20 minutes. Her sister, Lillie Petersen, even contributed an assist to her, feeding her inside.

The fourth quarter saw Jaelyn Derlein deliver the dagger, sinking Parkside's third three-pointer of the game. The Petersen sisters sealed the deal, combining for the team's final eight points. With this victory, Parkside defended their home court and improved to 8-3 overall and 3-1 in GLIAC play.
