The Panthers enter the week sitting at 2-3-1 overall. In the opening week of GLIAC play, Davenport went 0-2, dropping matches to Michigan Tech 2-1 and Northern Michigan 3-0.

Davenport's offensive attack is led by Ella Chatfield and Haley Diekevers who both lead the Panthers in goals with two apiece. Both of Diekevers goals have been game winners for the Panthers. Diekevers leads Davenport with six total points on the season. Elizabeth Walter has been between the posts all season for Davenport, recording 20 saves and two shut out thus far.

SCOUTING NO. 1 GRAND VALLEY STATE
GVSU enters this week with an unblemished 5-0-1 record, knocking off No. 9 Ashland and No. 4 Central Missouri along the way. The Lakers only draw came against Northwest Missouri State.

The Lakers defense has allowed just three goals the entire season, while putting up eight goals of their own. The offensive attack is led by committee as three different Lakers have notched a team high two goals. Kennedy Bearden and Emma Chudik lead the way with five points apiece so far this season. Caitlynn Junk will likely start in goal for the Lakers as the junior has recorded 19 saves in five games played. She also has collected a team high two shutouts and boasts a 5-0-1 record.

Sunday's match up will mark the first between the Lakers and Rangers since the 2023 GLIAC Tournament Semifinal. The Rangers would upset the second seeded Lakers in Marquette Michigan to clinch the program's first GLAIC Tournament Championship berth.

Grand Valley State holds the upper hand in the all-time series. The Rangers are 4-13-1 all time against the Lakers.
