KENOSHA, Wis – The Parkside men's soccer program is set to open GLIAC play against Purdue Northwest this week. The now No. 22 ranked Rangers and Pride are set to square off on Saturday at Wood Road Soccer Field. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. CDT.

SCOUTING PURDUE NORTHWEST
The Pride entered the season picked in the GLIAC Preseason Poll to finish second place behind Parkside. The ranking came after the Pride won the GLIAC Tournament Championship and earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament. PNW enters this week of play after falling out of the USCA rankings. In the week previous they were ranked No. 8, but after narrow 2-1 loss to Quincy, the Pride failed to receive votes. They now sit at 3-1 after topping NAIA St. Xavier in a 5-0 scoreline on Tuesday.
Jacob Battista is the Pride's top goal scorer four games in. Battista, a graduate student, has racked up three goals so far this season which came in a hat trick performance against St. Xavier. Teammate Christian Booth has two goals to his name so far this season, having notched a goal in their last two contests.
