Kenosha, Wis - The American Baseball Coaches Association released the All-Midwest Region Teams on Wednesday. Parkside's freshman, Leo Berger, was named to the 2024 Midwest All-Region Second Team. 

"When we handed Leo the ball with the lead it was fun to sit back and watch him compete," remarked Head Coach Zac Charbonneau. "He was dominant and I am excited to see what else he can do. The future is bright for Leo."

Berger had a freshman season filled with accolades and can now add All-Region Second Team to his resume. He was named GLIAC Freshman of the Year, and also garnered First Team All-GLIAC honors in the process. Berger was lethal out of Parkside's bullpen, collecting the second-most saves in the conference, with five. The hard-throwing right hander tossed 28 total innings and pitched to a dominant 1.61 ERA. He struck out 41 throughout the season and finished with a 3-0 record.
