Parkside Falls to Davenport in DH

Kenosha, Wis - The Parkside Rangers hosted the Davenport Panthers for a double header on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers bats were hot, defeating the Rangers 20-6 in game one, and 19-8 in the second game.

GAME ONE
In the loss, Jared Heinzen swung a hot bat, recording three hits in the contest. It marked the first time all season that he had tallied that many hits in a game.

Parkside got the scoring started early in the first inning. After Angel Rades got on base via a walk, Jude Allen singled him in. Parkside jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after the first inning of baseball. However, Davenport put their foot on the gas and led 11-2 after two innings.

In the fourth inning, the Rangers got a few runs back. Koto Sato hit an RBI single, scoring Jared Heinzen. And in the fifth, Heinzen came through with an RBI single of his own. He drove in Emanuel Andujar Ferreira for Parkside's fifth run of the game.

Davenport put the icing on the cake with an eight run seventh inning, sealing the deal in game one 20-6 in seven innings.

GAME TWO
Despite home runs from Jared Heinzen and Emanuel Andujar Ferreira, Parkside was defeated once again.

After the Panthers exploded for five quick runs, Parkside got on the board in the bottom of the second inning. Camden Kearney smoked an opposite field RBI single, bringing Jude Allen home from second base. Davenport wasted no time scoring four more runs in the next half inning, extending their lead to 9-1.

In the fourth inning, Jared Heinzen struck again. He clubbed his third home run of the season over the left field fence. It was a three run shot and it brought Parkside within five runs at the time, 9-4 was the score.

In the seventh inning, Emanuel Andujar Ferreira got on the board. He hit a towering three run shot over the right field wall for his third long ball of the season.

Parkside was unable to contain Davenport's offense, they lost the second game 19-8.
