KENOSHA, Wis. — The No. 3 ranked Parkside Rangers opened the NSIC portion of their schedule on Friday night against the University of Sioux Falls. Parkside was in control from start to finish, sweeping the Cougars 46-0.
Parkside had eight bonus point wins on the night including six tech falls, one fall and one major decision. Sioux Falls took down Parkside just one time on Friday.
No. 4 ranked
Shane Corrigan started the big day for Rangers. Corrigan scored the only points of the opening round with a takedown. Corrigan started on bottom in round two. He quickly got the escape, then got a takedown and scored four near fall on points to take an 11-0 lead. Corrigan had a huge third round, scoring 11 points, securing the 22-4 tech fall win.
Joey Roti took on Calvin Empkey at 133lbs. Roti came out quickly, scoring an early takedown. He continued scoring in the first with seven near fall points. He kept the pressure on in the second, scoring nine points on an escape, a takedown and four point near fall. Roti won by a 19-1 tech fall, giving Parkside a 10-0 lead.

Cayden Henschel took on Jordon Oehme in the 141lb bout. It was a tight contest from start to finish. Henschel started the scoring in the first round with a takedown. He kept control, racking up riding time. He started on bottom to begin the second, where he quickly picked up the escape point. Oehme picked neutral to begin the third but neither wrestler was able to score, scoring the 4-0 win by decision for Henschel.

Jalen Spuhler kept the momentum going for Parkside, winning by a 20-4 tech fall. Spuhler scored twice in the first, taking down Lane Fink twice. Spuhler took down Fink twice in the second and two more times in the third to secure the tech fall victory.
No. 3 ranked
Ben Durocher kept things rolling in the 157lb bout. Durocher scored 13 points in the first round against Lincoln Fink. He had three takedowns and four near fall points over the first three minutes. Durocher kept the pressure up in the second, getting a quick reversal and four near fall points to seal the 20-2 tech fall victory.
Parkside led 23-0 at the intermission.

Dajun Johnson took on Cooper Sanders in the 165lb bout. Johnson picked up the only points of the first period with a takedown. After Sanders picked up an escape point to begin the second, Johnson was able to take down Sanders twice to take a 9-2 lead into the third. Johnson scored the only point of the third round with an escape which secured the 10-2 major decision victory.
Crosby Schlosser dominated Robert Solorio in the 174lb bout. Schlosser started fast with a takedown and four near fall points in the first. He then escaped to begin the second, then scored a takedown and four near fall points to secure the 16-0 tech fall win.

Reece Worachek recorded Parkside's sixth tech fall win of the night in the 184lb bout. Worachek scored ten first round points with two takedowns and four near fall points. Worachek kept the momentum in the second round with a reversal. He then closed the bout out with four near fall points, securing the 18-1 tech fall win.
Chase Stegall won by first round fall over Stetson Davis in the 197lb bout. Stegall quickly took Davis down and secured four near fall points before pinning Davis with 1:10 to go in the first round.
No. 7
Lloyd Reynolds closed out the sweep for the Rangers with a win by a 5-1 decision over Isaiah Laguna. Reynolds scored first in the low-scoring bout, with a takedown in the first round. Reynolds also scored the only point of the second round with an escape. Laguna picked up an escape point in the third, but Reynolds was able to secure a point for riding time to close out the 5-1 win by decision.
The No. 3 ranked Rangers will return to action on Saturday evening for a top ten showdown against No. 8 ranked Augustana. The opening bout is scheduled for 5:00pm from De Simone Arena. Links to coverage can be found at ParksideRangers.com/coverage.
