#4 Rangers Cruise Past Minot State, 32-15

KENOSHA, Wis. --- The No. 4 ranked Parkside wrestling team closed out their first home NSIC weekend on Saturday night, playing host to the Minot State Beavers. On the night the Rangers debuted the 2022-23 NSIC Championship banner, Parkside would disperse the Beavers by a 32-15 final score.
 
No. 4 ranked Shane Corrigan started the night for the Rangers, picking up a 19-0 tech fall win just 46 seconds into the second period. No. 4 ranked Matthew Chi recovered after a loss on Friday night, earning a 7-3 decision, giving the Rangers an 8-0 lead.
 
No. 3 ranked Cayden Henschel continued his dominance this season, earning a 12-1 major decision in the 141lb bout. Jalen Spuhler had one of two pins on the night for Parkside. The No. 11 ranked wrestler at 149lbs pinned Issac Ortega with 1:07 to go in the first period.
 
No. 12 ranked Ben Durocher earned a 7-1 decision on Saturday night, getting takedowns in the first and third periods. Parkside swept the first five matches and held a 21-0 lead at the intermission.
 
After the Beavers picked up a pin at 165lbs, Brody Hemauer continued his impressive weekend, winning by a 21-4 tech fall with 1:10 to go in the third period.
 
No. 8 ranked Reece Worachek earned the other pin on the night for the Rangers. He picked up the win with 11 seconds to go in the first period.
 
Parkside fell in the final two bouts of the night, but they had already secured enough points, leading to a 32-15 victory. The Rangers now have won 13 straight NSIC contests, dating back to last season.
