SCOUTING ST. CLOUD STATE

The Huskies will enter Friday's contest still searching for their first win of the season as they currently sit at 0-4-2. Last weekend they picked up a 0-0 draw against Saginaw Valley and dropped a 1-2 decision to Davenport to open their GLIAC play.

The offense has been able to provide three goals on the season for the Huskies, all of them coming from three different players. Of those three goal scorers Vukota Mastilovic leads the team in shots on the season with eight. Mastilovic has also played the most minutes on the team with 527.

Defense is where the Huskies have struggled the most this season. In total, St. Cloud State has allowed 18 goals in just six games. In net for the Huskies is Dylan De Baldo. De Blado has faced a staggering 87 shots already this season. While he hasn't picked up his first win of the season, he already has been credited with two clean sheets thus far.

History favors Parkside, as they are 3-0-1 against St. Cloud State since the Huskies joined the GLIAC in 2021.

SCOUTING NORTHERN MICHIGAN

Northern Michigan enters this weekend at 2-3-1 on the season. Before taking on the Rangers on Sunday, the Wildcats have a match against Purdue Northwest on Friday. Northern Michigan has played the likes of Quincy and Lewis, just as Parkside had. Northern Michigan narrowly escaped Quincy in a 1-0 decision, while Parkside defeated Quincy 5-3. The Wildcats left Illinois after playing a scoreless draw against the Flyers. Parkside had beaten Lewis 2-1 earlier this season.

On the offensive side the Wildcats have scored five goals on the season so far. All five goals have been scored by different Wildcats. Leading the Wildcat offense this far into the season is Jan Hoffmann. Despite being listed as a defender, Hoffmann is leading the Wildcats in points this season with three, as he has a goal and an assist to his name. Hoffmann has logged the most minutes of field players with 510 minutes.

Defensively, Northern Michigan is led by Florian Palmowski in net. The sophomore has already racked up 26 saves on the season and has played all 540 minutes this season. Palmowski also has attained three shutouts this season already.

The series record heavily favors Parkside, as they are 7-1-1 against Northern Michigan. The most recent match between the two sides was a 4-0 shutout for the Rangers at Wood Road Field.
