KENOSHA, Wis. - The Rangers men's soccer program will look to bounce back this week after tying and dropping their matches this past weekend. While facing #17 UIS on Thursday, Parkside edged out a 1-1 draw thanks to a Bryan Torres equalizer in the 53rd minute of action. Parkside then made the trip down to St. Louis to square off against Maryville, dropping the contest 4-1. The lone goal belonged to Edgar Heredia Victoria off of a set piece in the 76th minute.Â
Despite the draw and loss, the Rangers still enter GLIAC play this week with a respectable 2-1-1 record. A showdown with Purdue Northwest in Hammond, Ind. awaits for the Rangers. Parkside's GLIAC opener is set to kickoff at 2 p.m. CDT. Â

SCOUTING PURDUE NORTHWESTÂ
The Pride enter Sunday's match unbeaten at 3-0-2. The Pride and Rangers share two common opponents in UIS and Lewis. While Parkside defeated Lewis 2-1, Purdue Northwest played in a scoreless draw. Parkside recently tied 1-1 with UIS while PNW topped the Prairie Stars 2-1. Â
On the offensive side of things, the Pride have had just three different players score goals. Leading in the category is Senior Spainard Hugo Lorenzo with five goals to his name. The Pride have scored nine total goals this season. Lorenzo also leads the team in points with 11. Â
Defensively, the Pride have played two goalkeepers in Eligh Williams and Will Maurice. Williams has played the majority of the matches, starting in four and playing 360 total minutes thus far. He has conceded just two goals and holds a .905 save percentage on the season. Williams has been credited with the team's three wins. Â
History favors the Rangers as they hold the advantage in the all-time series record with six wins to PNW's three. The previous matches have ended in a draw twice, most recently last year at Wood Road in a scoreless bout. Â
