HOW IT HAPPENED
There were just two total hits through the first two innings. Lewis was finally able to capitalize in the top of the third. Three walks in the inning loaded the bases with two outs. A single through the right side brought two runs home, but a strikeout kept the Lewis lead at 2-0.

The pitcher's duel continued into the sixth. With one out Andujar Ferreira singled through the right side. He then advanced to second on a balk. Burff followed with an infield single on a 2-1 pitch, putting two on. After Andujar Ferreira advanced to third on a flyout to right, he was able to come into score when Bruff stole second and the throw went into center field.

After Felske worked a quick top of the seventh, Parkside was able to string hits together in the bottom half. With one out Daniel Llanas singled through the left side. Noah Tyrrell followed with a single up the middle and Llanas was able to race around to score, tying the game at two. With runners on first and second and two out, Andujar Ferreira dropped a single into shallow right center, allowing Tyrrell to race home from second, giving Parkside the 3-2 lead.

Felske was able to work around a one-out walk in the eighth to keep the one-run lead. Lewis threatened in the top of the ninth, recording two hits, but Kearney was able to get a groundout to second to seal the 3-2 win.
