KENOSHA, Wis. – The first National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) polls of the 2023-24 season were released on Monday, and the Rangers found themselves ranked ninth nationally as a team. Parkside also has five wrestlers ranked in their respective weight classes to open the season.

As a team, Parkside went 11-0 in duals last season and went a perfect 7-0 in NSIC duals to earn their first-ever conference championship. Parkside returns a majority of the starting lineup from a season ago, including Shane Corrigan, Cayden Henschel, Jalen Spuhler, Ben Durocher, and Reece Worachek who are ranked in their respective weight classes to open the season.

Jalen Spuhler finds himself ranked No. 2 in the 149-pound weight class to open the season. The 2023 fourth-place finisher at the NCAA Championships looks to build off his All-American performance last season. Shane Corrigan is ranked No. 4 in the 125lbs weight class after posting a 33-8 record last year. Corrigan earned All-American recognition as a true freshman, finishing in seventh place at the NCAA Championships.
