KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Parkside men's soccer team took on the Davenport Panthers on Friday afternoon in the second to final game of the 2023 regular season. Parkside jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Davenport was able to score three unanswered in the second half to down the Rangers 3-2.

• Augustin Warnod made two saves in net.
• Chris Estrada had a goal and an assist, the first time he has tallied three or more points in a match.

 
The Rangers jumped out to the early lead on Friday, needing just one point to secure at least a share of the GLIAC regular season title. Parkside got the scoring going in the second minute. Two quick passes created space in the box for Paco Piscaglia to burry his third goal of the season inside the left post.
 
Parkside extended their advantage in the 11^th minute. Davenport had the ball deep in their own territory when Estrada picked off a pass right in front of the Davenport keeper. He then finished off his fourth goal of the season with a right foot, making it 2-0 Rangers.
 
The tides turned in the second half. Davenport scored in the 37^th minute to pull within one. The Panthers then tied the contest in the 52^nd minute on a Drew Matyunas goal, his first of the season. Davenport then took the lead for good in the 55^th minute, when Parkside deflected the ball into their own net.
 
Parkside will return to action on Sunday afternoon against Saginaw Valley State. Opening kickoff is set for 12:00pm from Wood Road Soccer Field. Sunday will also be Senior Day for the Rangers, along with Alumni Day.
