UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Parkside women's soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon, taking on the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals. The Rangers battled on a cool and windy fall day, but ultimately came up short by a final score of 2-0.
Saginaw Valley State out-shot Parkside 21-11 on the day. The Cardinals got on the board first in the 20
th minute when Stephanie Strong netted the first goal of the game just inside the left post. Parkside battled to get shots on target but were unable to break through Coming out of the halftime break Madi Bajis doubled the Cardinal lead, going top left just 35 seconds into the half. Her fifth goal of the season made it 2-0 SVSU.
Mia Guyton made nine saves on the day for the Rangers, bringing her career total to 219, which moves her into second place all time in program history.
