HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers wasted no time getting their offense going. In the 10
th minute,
Emily Mikkelson shot a cross pass from the right side and found
Alexis Bolger, who was able to head the ball past the goalkeeper to give Parkside a 1-0 lead. The Rangers offense continued to control possession for most of the first half, but could not find the back of the net again. The Warriors bounced back in the second half, controlling the possession for the majority of the time. Despite the Warriors taking a total of 19 shots, the Rangers defense stood strong and forced the shutout in their third win in four games.
HEAR FROM COACH NIKOLIC
"We started the game on the front foot and had a number of good chances. The service from Mikkelson and Bolger's finish were fantastic. In the second half, Winona definitely stepped up their pressure and although it wasn't the type of half we would prefer to play, we kept a clean sheet and secured the win. The work rate and belief in this team is high and we look forward to testing ourselves against our conference rivals."

Bolger earned her first goal of the season, along with her first game-winning goal. Mikkelson earned her team-leading third assist of the year, and she currently is second on the team in points with five.
