The Parkside women's soccer team traveled to University Center, Mich. to take on the Cardinals of Saginaw Valley State. The Rangers jumped out to an early lead, but the Cardinals came alive offensively in the second half to run away with the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Jamie Mohs got the Rangers on the board in the seventh minute with a goal that came off an assist from
Emily Mikkelson. The Rangers held their 1-0 lead through the remainder of the first half, but the Cardinals would soon find a way to take control. Stephaine Strong scored a goal in the 70
th minute to tie the game, and Rileigh Garbarz gave the Cardinals the lead in the 73
rd minute. The Rangers evened the score in the 80
th minute with
Bjork Bjarmadottir scoring her first career goal off another assist from Mikkelson. The excitement of the goal was short lived, as Sophia Zalucki put the Cardinals back on top just 51 seconds after the Rangers goal. Less than two minutes later, Madi Bajis scored an insurance goal to secure the win for the Cardinals.
STATWORTHY
Mohs scored her first career goal along with Bjarmadottir. Mikkelson now has five assists on the year and leads the Rangers in that category.
Mia Guyton earned nine saves on the day.
