Women's Soccer Falls to Northern Michigan in GLIAC Quarterfinals

The Parkside women's soccer team traveled to Marquette, Mich. on Tuesday to compete against the Northern Michigan Wildcats in the GLIAC quarterfinals. The Wildcats got out to an early lead in the first half and held the Rangers scoreless to advance to the GLIAC semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Maria Storm got the scoring started for the Wildcats with a goal in the 24th minute. The Wildcats got their insurance goal in the 55th minute with a goal from Brenna Musser.

STATWORTHY
Parkside tallied 14 shots, with seven being on goal. Alexis Baker led the Rangers with three shots on goal. Mia Guyton earned the started in goal and finished with four saves on six attempts.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers have been eliminated from the 2022 GLIAC tournament. Their season concludes with an overall record of 7-11-1. The Rangers will look to return a majority of the starting lineup, with Baker and Guyton set to return, along with several other contributing players such Alexis Bolger, Emily Mikkelson, and Alair Posard.
