KENOSHA, Wis. – Head Coach
Jen Conely and the Parkside women's basketball program are excited to announce the signing of Grace Lomen. Lomen will join the Rangers at the start of the 2022-2023 season.
Lomen, a senior forward from East Troy, Wis., has been a leading force for the Catholic Memorial Crusaders in recent years. On December 31
st, Lomen was named the RallyAroundUs Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Crusaders 79-78 win over Oconomowoc. Lomen finished with a career high 37 points, 13 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks. She hit the game winning free throw in the final seconds to finish off the win for her team. To add to her big night, Lomen also passed the 1,000-career points milestone.
Lomen has earned plenty of recognition throughout her high school career. She was named Rock Valley Conference First Team All-Conference in 2019. She was also named Classic 8 First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Waukesha Freeman in 2021.
"We are excited to welcome Grace to the Parkside family!" said Parkside Head Coach
Jen Conely, "She is a physical, gritty, hardnosed player that will make an impact on both sides of the ball. Grace is a skilled guard that uses her strength well to attack the basket and create for others. We need to get better defensively- Grace is a great defender that makes plays on and off the ball and does a fantastic job on the boards. She is a great fit for our program and we are so excited that she will be a Ranger!"
Lomen chose Parkside because she loved the campus, the basketball coaching staff, and the sports culture in the Parkside community. She is looking to study Sports Psychology when she begins her career at Parkside.
