The Rangers returned to Wood Road Field for their home opener against the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars. After a two-hour rain delay in the first half, the Prairie Stars were able to come away with a win in regular time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a defensive start, Illinois-Springfield was able to breakthrough on the scoreboard in the 27
th minute with a goal that came off a corner kick. The Prairie Stars were then able to find the net again with a goal in the 81
st minute to extend their lead and finish the game.
STATWORTHY
The official time of the rain delay was two hours and 14 minutes. Redshirt-junior
Myah Strokosch led the Rangers in shots (4). Sophomore
Alexis Baker led the team with two shots on goal. Freshman Goalkeeper
Mia Guyton tallied six saves while facing eight shots on goal.
