HOW IT HAPPENED
The first goal for the Rangers came in the 18th minute, as redshirt-senior Jorge Garcia found redshirt-junior Rade Novakovich for the score.  The Rangers added to their lead in the 22nd minute with deflection goal scored by sophomore Edgar Heredia Victoria.  In the 3nd minute, Davenport's Daire O'Riordan fired a penalty kick which was blocked by Ranger goalkeeper Alexandre Durand.  O'Riordan gathered the rebound and found the back of the net to get the Panthers on the board.  The game remained 2-1 for the majority of the match, until Justice Sikkema scored a game-tying goal in the 89th minute to force overtime.  In the 92nd minute, Matt Whelan placed a free kick into the net to score the golden goal.

HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"Obviously, this was a tough, tough way to lose.  This has been a situation that we have been in a couple games this year and we have always found a way to get the win in overtime or force a tie.  We led throughout the entire game and gave up another goal in the last minute.  The first 30 minutes was some of the best stuff we'd done all year.  We took our foot off the gas a little bit, and we had some lulls throughout the game.  We left some really good scoring opportunities in both halves.  I have to really give credit to Davenport.  They stuck around and they hung in there.  They got a penalty to make it 2-1, and then found that goal late.  Then they scored on a beautiful free kick in overtime to win the game.  Now we have to move on to the next game."
