It was yet another one-goal defeat for the Parkside women's soccer team in their season finale at Michigan Tech. It's the Rangers fourth straight one-goal loss, and sixth on the season. Parkside finished the season outside of the GLIAC top-eight, and will miss the conference tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Friday afternoon's contest was an evenly-matched one, with the Rangers taking four shots in the first forty minutes, while the Huskies took five. Unfortunately for Parkside, the Michigan Tech's sixth shot in the 43
rd minute found the back of the net to give them a 1-0 lead.

The Rangers attempted to mount a second half comeback, but only came close with one shot on target in the 77
th minute from junior
Samantha Nickell.

STATWORTHY
On the day, Parkside was outshot 17-10, including 7-4 in shots on goal. Freshman
Mia Guyton started in goal for the Rangers, and made a career-high six saves. Sophomore
Alexis Baker led the way for the Green & White offense with three shots, two of those on goal.

WHAT'S NEXT
That's the end of the 2021 spring season for the women's soccer team. The GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals are scheduled next Tuesday for the top-eight teams in the conference.
