Parkside 82, Ferris State 59
The Parkside women's basketball team started their postseason off on the right foot, and decisively took the No. 8-9 match up of the GLIAC Tournament. The Rangers trailed initially, 3-2, but they grabbed the lead immediately on a layup from junior
Hannah Plockelman, and then didn't trail for the remainder of the game. Junior
Courtney Schoenbeck's career-high 20 points led the way for Parkside.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Green & White opened the game with a 28-11 first quarter, and never looked back. Ferris State pulled the lead back to 15 with 1:30 left in the half, but that was as close as they would get, thanks to the Rangers shooting. Parkside shot 31-of-63 (49.2-percent) from the field, and made a season high 13 threes in 33 attempts.
