HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers offense got on the board early in the match, with senior Max Ludwig scoring a long-range goal off a pass that came from redshirt-junior Dejan Rokvic in the 11th minute.  Blake Arndt tied the game for the Tigers in the 38th minute, and the match went into halftime at 1-1.  Arndt came through again in the 77th minute to give the Tigers the lead, and eventually, the win.

HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"First of all, I want to say congrats to Fort Hays State.  They have had an excellent season, played a great game, and I wish them all the best moving forward.  I thought that their counter attack was excellent today.  They had four really good chances, and they scored on two of them while coming really close on another that went off the crossbar.  They were really dangerous on the counter.  In the first half, we had several really good chances and couldn't put them on frame.  We put one away early but left some good opportunities out there.  Most of this season, we were pretty efficient with putting the ball in the net, but we paid the price for not being efficient today.  All in all, it's very difficult.  We had a very emotional locker room.  A lot of farewells to our seniors and we appreciate everything that they have done for the program.  When they came in, it was a tough year.  Then the second group came in and it was a sanction year.  But that group has had four straight winning seasons, and it helps put the program back in the right direction, so thank you to those seniors, as well as the rest of the guys in the program.  I also want to say thank you to Andrew Gavin, the administrators, and the rest of his staff for all the support and effort that they have put in this season, the tournament game, and the conference tournament.  Thank you for all that you have done for us."

SEASON IN REVIEW
The Rangers finish the season 15-4-2.  They won their second regular season GLIAC Championship and Tournament championship in the last three years.  Rade Novakovich led the country in goals with 24, and 58 points.  Novakovich was also named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Year.  Henry Bruer-Schmadalla was named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year.  Alexandre Durand was named the GLIAC Goalkeeper of the Year.  Jason Zitzke was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year.  Novakovich, Bruer, Durand, and Max Ludwig were named First Team All-GLIAC, while Rokvic was named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention.
