Minnesota State 93, Parkside 75
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside women's basketball team traveled to Minnesota on Saturday for a game against the Minnesota State Mavericks. Though the Rangers ran with the Mavericks early, a last second three-pointer in the first half gave the Mavericks enough of a lead and momentum to come away with the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game started out with a close battle. The Mavericks got out to a 23-18 lead to start the first quarter. The Mavericks were able to pull away at the end of the second quarter, as they went into the locker room with a 43-34 lead. The Mavericks out scored the Rangers in the third quarter 21-17 to increase their lead to 13, with their highest lead reaching 18. The Rangers could not battle back in the fourth and fell to the Mavericks 93-75.
A LOOK AT THE BOX SCORE
Seniors Alyssa nelson led the way for the Rangers, scoring 24 points. Senior
Hannah Plockelman also scored double digits, as she totaled 14 points. Joey Batt led the way for the Mavericks with 21 points.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Rangers will return to action next Saturday, Nov. 27 on the road against Lewis. The Rangers will return home on December 9 against Davenport.
