Parkside 2, Davenport 2 (2OT)
The Rangers closed out the weekend with a trip to Grand Rapids, Mich. to play the Davenport Panthers. The Rangers looked to snap a five-game losing streak and pick up their first conference win of the season. Despite a strong offensive effort from the Rangers, the match went into overtime and ended in a tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half came and went without either team finding the back of the net. It was not until the 61
st minute that Davenport's Natalia Casiello scored to give the Panthers the lead. This opened the flood gates for the offense on both sides. In the 69
th minute, the Rangers were able to tie the game with sophomore
Alexis Baker scoring a goal off a double assist from freshmen
Alexis Bolger and
Abbey Canfield. The Rangers were able to score again to take the lead as freshman
Laura Sanchez was able to find the back of the net on an unassisted goal. The Panthers would not stay down long, however, as Haley Diekevers scored to tie the game in the 79
th minute. The game would remain tied through the remainder of the 90-minute regulation period, and neither team would be able to come out on top in the 20 minutes of overtime.
STATWORTHY
Baker's goal increases her season total to a team leading four goals. Sanchez recorded the first goal of her collegiate career. Bolger picked up her team-leading second assist, while Canfield tallied her first of the campaign. Sophomore
Izzy Guyer started in goal for the Rangers, tallying nine saves on 11 shots on goal.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE RANGERS
Parkside will head to Marquette, Mich. for a match against Northern Michigan on Friday, Oct. 8. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. The Rangers next home game will be on Sunday, Oct. 24 against Northern Michigan.
