Parkside 2, Purdue Northwest 1
The Rangers opened the weekend road trip with a match against the Purdue Northwest Pride. The two teams battled until the end, and had a tie score until a late goal put the Rangers on the victorious end of the scoreboard.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomore
Alexis Baker got the Rangers on the board first with a goal in the 21
st minute. Freshman
Alexis Bolger was credited with the assist. Braidy Ceh of the Pride tied the game in the 49
th minute with the assist coming from Baylee Byford. The game remained tied until the 89
th minute when Baker found the back of the net off a pass by freshman
Laura Sanchez for her second goal of the match to give the Rangers the lead and the win.
STATWORTHY
Baker now has a team-leading total of six goals on the season. Bolger picked up her second assist of the season, and Sanchez earned her third assist. Sophomore
Izzy Guyer was in goal for the Rangers today and tallied seven saves.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE RANGERS
Parkside will head to Big Rapids, Mich. for a match against Ferris State on Sunday, Oct. 17. Kickoff is at noon. The Rangers next home game will be on Sunday, Oct. 24 against Northern Michigan.
