KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside wrestling dominated Southwest Minnesota State 28-6 on Friday night to earn the team's first dual win in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Friday night was Parkside's first-ever Marquee Matchup powered by Upload Partners.

Parkside, who entered the night ranked No. 25 in the latest NWCA Top-25 poll, won the first eight matchups, with No. 4 Joseph Arroyo starting the day out strong on a 17-1 technical fall that finished in just 3:13. After Arroyo, a senior, improved to 3-0, the Rangers ripped off four straight decisions from redshirt-sophomore Lucas Schevikhoven, redshirt-sophomore Francesco Schiro, redshirt-junior Nathan Hensley and freshman Ben Durocher to take a 17-0 lead over the Mustangs.
 
After the intermission, redshirt-junior Shane Gantz improved to 3-0 with a technical fall at 165 pounds and sophomore Ryan Neu clinched the match with a decision at 174 to earn his first win as a member of the Rangers. Freshman Reece Worachek improved to 3-0 with a hard-fought victory in overtime and the Mustangs battled back to earn wins at 197 and 285.
 
Parkside will hit the road and face No. 16 Upper Iowa next week on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.
