The Parkside wrestling team won its second straight road dual with a 30-12 victory over Davenport Sunday afternoon in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Rangers have a dual at Lake Erie College on Friday, Jan. 31 and the UIndy Duals on Feb. 8 before competing in the NCAA II Super Regional V.

"We performed well again today and I think it's indicative of our training the last couple weeks," third year head coach Corey VanGroll said. "We are looking forward to finishing the last couple regular season events with wins."
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first three in the lineup, Joe Arroyo, No. 6 Airk Furseth and Pernevlon Sheppard, got the Rangers out to a big advantage. Arroyo earned a major decision, followed by a technical fall by Furseth at 133 and a technical fall at 141 by Sheppard. After a Davenport decision, Jake Polka and Shane Gantz earned back-to-back decisions at 157 and 165 to put the Rangers up 20-3. The Panthers took a decision at 174, followed by a forfeit win for Tanner Anthony at 184 that wrapped up the Rangers victory. Nate Lloyd earned a tough 3-2 decision at 285 to finish out the dual.
