#7 Ohio Valley 3, Parkside 1
Another game came down to the wire for the Parkside men's soccer team on Saturday. After falling down 1-0 early in the match, Parkside equalized in the 68
th minute. The 1-1 score held until the 79
th minute, when two late goals from Ohio Valley secured the win for the No. 7 ranked Fighting Scots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ohio Valley jumped out in front early with a goal in the 7
th minute mark. Parkside worked towards equalizing for over 60 minutes when a goal from redshirt-sophomore
Dejan Rokvic did just that. The assist on the goal came from redshirt-junior
Jorge Garcia. It looked like the Rangers were about to head for their third straight overtime game until the 79
th minute brought a Fighting Scots goal. Ohio Valley scored again with three seconds left in the game to bring the score to 3-1.
STATWORTHY
The stats were fairly even for the Rangers and Fighting Scots, as Parkside outshot Ohio Valley 16-15, but the Fighting Scots had seven on goal to the Rangers' three. Ohio Valley finished with 18 fouls and five yellow cards while Parkside had seven and three, respectively.

Rokvic's goal was his first of the season while Garcia recorded his first assist.

WHAT'S NEXT
Parkside will return home for two straight at Wood Road Field, as the Rangers open up GLIAC play at Friday, Sept. 20 at 2:30 p.m. The Rangers then welcome in Purdue Northwest on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m. For all of next week's events, the Ranger Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be sponsoring Mental Health Awareness Week.
