GAME 1: Northwood 8, Parkside 0
The Rangers couldn't get anything going offensively against Taylor Wright, who held Parkside to just one hit while improving to 5-1 this season and moving her ERA to 1.04.
Â
The Timberwolves jumped on top early, taking a 4-0 lead in the top of the first and moving it to a 7-0 lead after two innings.
Morgan Moore came through with the team's only hit in the bottom of the second inning.
Â
GAME 2: Parkside 2, Northwood 1
It came down to final batter, but the game ended on a runner getting thrown out at third base after trying to move up on a ball in the dirt. Hausl earned her second win of the season, finishing with the complete-game and allowing just five hits and one run with no walks and a season-high six strikeouts.
Â
Jessica Crull hit her second home run of the season in the bottom of the second inning, this one being a shot over the left field wall to put Parkside up 1-0.
Adrien Hall made it 2-0 Parkside in the bottom of the third on an RBI single that plated
Kellie Fenza. Northwood battled back in the top of the seventh on Hausl, scoring a run on a double down the line to make it 2-1, but the runner thrown out at third ended the game.
Â
Fenza finished 2-for-3 with a run while Hall went 1-for-2 with an RBI and Crull had the solo home run.
