KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Parkside wrestling team will hold on to the Sake Bottle for another season after the Rangers defeated UW-Whitewater 32-19 on Saturday afternoon in DeSimone Gymnasium. The Warhawks came into Saturday as the No. 5 ranked team in NCAA Division III. Saturday's dual was Alumni Day and Military Appreciation Day for the Rangers.

The Warhawks got a good start, as junior Joe Arroyo was pinned by Mike Tortorice, the top-ranked wrestler in Division III, at 125-pounds. After a forfeit at 133, the Warhawks earned a major decision at 141 by No. 8 Hazen Rice, followed by a quick pins from redshirt-junior
Nathan Smith at 149 and redshirt-sophomore
Subhan Umar at 157, giving Parkside an 18-10 lead in the dual.

The Warhawks got a pin at 174 from No. 7 Jarritt Shinhoster, but freshman
Sherman Dixon earned a technical fall (18-3) and junior
Rodsean Graham got a forfeit at 197, securing the Rangers victory. The final match ended with a Warhawks 5-1 decision over
Nate Lloyd at 285.

The Rangers will take next weekend off before heading to the CUW Open on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m.
