HEAR FROM COACH ZITZKE
"That's a gut-wrenching way to finish, we had our chances to win it in penalty," head coach
Jason Zitzke. "Their goalie made some great saves and Juan made some great saves for us. We had two or three opportunities to put the ball in the net during the game and unfortunately we couldn't get it done."
Â
"I'm so proud of those guys. Majority of the roster was here during the sanctions and those guys stuck around, nobody left the program and they helped build the program back. It was a great run last year and this year they made another push to get us to the tournament.
Â
"I want the thank everyone that reached out and told me how proud they are of the program. We appreciate all the support we got from everyone at Parkside, the parents, the fans, other teams and everyone that supported us we really appreciated that."

Â
REGULATION
Each side had their chances throughout the match, with the Yellow Jackets striking the crossbar in the 34
th minute and the Rangers putting together a nice stretch late in the first half. In the second half, Parkside put the pressure on, as
Max Ludwig had back-to-back shots in the 80
th/81
st minute that were both blocked. The Rangers followed that up with a pair of corner kicks in the 81
st and 82
nd minute, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Â
In the first overtime,
Leki Prpa nearly ended it less than a minute in, but his shot sailed high of the goal. The Rangers also saw a header from
Kapaw Htoo in the 92
nd minute go high. Again, neither team could find the back of the net in the first overtime or the second.
