In the 2019 Ranger Duals, the home Rangers downed Findlay with ease to open up Saturday but fell to top-ranked Saint Cloud State in the second match of the day. Joe Arroyo earned a huge win at 125 pounds against SCSU, as he beat the No. 1 ranked and previously unbeaten Brett Velasquez in an 8-6 decision to open the match.
 
Parkside 34, Findlay 12
The Rangers came out and took the first three matches of the day, as Arroyo earned a 5-0 decision at 125 followed by back-to-back pins by No. 10 Airk Furseth and No. 7 Nathan Smith to put Parkside up 15-0. Findlay battled back, earning wins at 149, 157 and 165 before the Rangers finished out the match with wins in the last four. Connor Price pinned No. 11 Nathan Vandermeer at 174, Findlay's lone ranked wrestler followed by an 11-9 decision by No. 11 James Lehman at 184, a 12-4 major decision by Job Ayala and a forfeit for Joe Foret.
 
No. 1 St. Cloud State 25, Parkside 9
The Rangers had the Huskies on the ropes in the beginning, especially after the electrifying 8-6 decision at 125 by Arroyo. Arroyo was ranked previously this season, but fell out last week. Following Arroyo, Furseth and Smith stayed tough, earning an 8-4 decision and a 5-2 decision, respectively, but SCSU showed its power, winning the last seven matches. The Huskies have a wrestler ranked in eight of the 10 weight classes in the latest NWCA National Rankings.
 
The Rangers will hit the road next week, traveling for a dual at UW-Stevens Point on Thursday night at 7 p.m. followed by the Indianapolis Duals on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
