In game one, Lewis jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first two innings. Parkside made it a 3-1 ball game in the top of the third inning, as Troy Bittenbender ripped an RBI triple that scored Lovell Chandler, who singled with one out earlier in the inning. Lewis went on to score three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a five-run lead.

The Rangers were limited to four hits, scattered around by four different players. Connor Cunningham suffered the loss and Jake Macaluso pitched a scoreless inning to end it.

In game two, the Flyers again took the early lead, this time leading 2-0 after three innings. The Rangers came back to tie it up at 2-2 in the top of the fifth. Paul Weise singled to right field to open the inning and Vincent Hubli drove him in with an RBI double to left field. After Hubli moved up on a wild pitch, Hunter Weddel hit an RBI groundout to second base to tie it up.

Lewis responded in a big way, plating four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 6-2 lead. Domenic Hammudeh scored on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth inning, but Lewis got that run back in the bottom half of the inning.

The Rangers were held to three hits offensively, as Hubli went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI and Weise went 1-for-3 with a run.

Parkside and Lewis will look to finish out games three and four throughout the weekend on either Saturday or Sunday.
