In game one, Quincy wasted no time jumping out to an early lead, as the Hawks scored three runs in the bottom of the first and tacked on another run in the second. The Hawks scored their fifth and final run in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Rangers, who finished with three hits in game one, had runners on the corners with no outs in the top of the first inning but the Hawks were able to get out of the jam. Parkside also put a pair of runners on in the top of the fifth inning too, but again the Hawks got away without giving up a run.

Nicholas Rana pitched the complete game for the Rangers, going 6.0 innings allowing five runs on eight hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Quincy's Jimmy McDonald pitched the complete game as well with 10 strikeouts.

In game two, the Hawks again scored early, putting up one in the first, two in the second and one in the third to lead 4-0 after three innings, which went on to be the final score. The Hawks again held the Rangers to three hits throughout the game.

Parkside will take next weekend off before heading down to Florida for three games against Saint Leo starting on Saturday, March 27.
