KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The No. 3 ranked Parkside wrestling team crushed the competition at the GLVC Duals hosted by Truman State on Sunday, first downing the host Bulldogs 57-0 before topping Drury 42-0. The Rangers finished the regular season 12-1 overall and 5-1 in the GLVC.

On the day, Airk Furseth, Frank Yattoni IV, Pernevlon Sheppard, Brett Scoles, Nick Becker, Connor Price and James Lehman all went 2-0. Becker extended his winning streak to 82 straight matches.
 
In the first match, the Rangers swept the Bulldogs across the board. The Green & White saw four pins by Furseth, Becker, Price and Lehman, a trio of technical falls by Yattoni, Sheppard and Scoles. The Rangers also received three forfeit wins. Price edged Becker for the quickest pin by :02 seconds, taking down Jules Joseph at 184 in just :41 seconds.
 
The second match was more of the same for the Rangers, as Parkside opened up with a pair of technical falls and two major decisions in the first four matches. After back-to-back decisions by Sheppard and Scoles, Becker earned a technical fall and Price won by major decision. Lehman went on to pin Dylan Ballew in just :40 seconds, making that the fastest pin of the day. Matt Halverson ended the day with a 2-0 decision over Ben Melton at 285.
 
The Rangers will take the next two weeks off to prepare for the NCAA Super Regionals in Findlay, Ohio from Friday, Feb. 23 to Saturday, Feb. 24.
