SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Carolina Rahkonen went off for a career-high 25 points, but that wasn't enough as the Parkside women's basketball team dropped a road game to Drury 104-65 Saturday afternoon.

The Rangers had a nice first quarter, taking a 16-12 lead after a balanced scoring attack that included an Ali Bettencourt 3-pointer with :02 to play in the quarter. The second quarter was the difference maker, as Drury was on fire and went on a 27-0 run to open, holding Parkside scoreless for the first 8:30 of the quarter. The Panthers outscored the Rangers 36-9 and took a 48-25 lead into the half. Drury had another big quarter in the third, outscoring the Rangers 32-14 before the Rangers won the fourth quarter 26-24.

Rahkonen's 25 passed her previous career-high of 22 earlier this year, as the sophomore went 8-for-12 from the floor and 8-for-9 from the free-throw line. Hayley Maystead added 10 points, six rebounds and four steals while Asiah Lawson had 11 points off the bench.

The Rangers will now enter their final week of the season, hosting Senior Day against Southern Indiana on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
