Jen Conely earned her first career win as the Rangers pushed past nonconference opponent Malone to officially open the 2018-19 season. The Rangers led in offensive reboundsÂ
(17) against the Eagles, as well as in steals (11).  Parkside went 92.9 percent from the free throw line, only having two missed free throws all night. Graduate Student
Ali Bettencourt finished with a team-high 15 points.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first quarter went back and forth with the Rangers trailing much of the way until senior
Asiah Lawson's 3-pointer with 21-seconds remaining tied the game at 17-17. Â
Parkside scored its most points in the paint in the first quarter with six buckets made.  Bettencourt led the Green & White on a 5-point run to start the second half and redshirt-senior
Blair Arthur finished the second half with back-to-back field goals of her own. In the fourth quarter, the Rangers had an 8-0 run which grew the score to 56-45 with Parkside on top. The Rangers led by 14 points with 2:00 to play, but the Pioneers made a late comeback and cut it down to a 4-point victory for the Rangers.Â
STAT LEADERS
Bettencourt led the Rangers with 15 points, along with two offensive and two defensive rebounds. Following closely was redshirt-senior
Blair Arthur with 13 points, who led the Rangers in assists along with redshirt-junior
Taylor Stephen, with four a piece. Stephen led with three steals . A trio of Rangers had five rebounds in Arthur,
Carolina Rahkonen and Geogie Eishold.Â
