ROLLA, Mo. – The UW-Parkside women's soccer team closed out its 2017 season on Wednesday, falling to Missouri S&T 1-0 on the road.

With the loss, the Rangers will end the season at 3-12-2 overall and 2-9-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Missouri S&T improved to 2-13-1 overall and 2-11-1 in the GLVC.
The Miners scored the lone goal of the game in the first half, as Mikaela Mockenhaupt scored a goal in the 29th minute and the Rangers couldn't answer despite finishing with six shots on goal to the Miners four. Jazmin Castanon finished with two shots, both on goal while Chloe Couves and Maddison Te Stroete each had two shots as well. Adrianna Bratel finished with three saves in goal for Parkside.
The Ranger men's soccer team played following the women's game, battling the Miners to a 4-4 tie in double overtime.
