ROLLA, Mo. – The UW-Parkside men's soccer team ended its 2017 season on Wednesday, as the Rangers battled Missouri S&T on the road to a 4-4 tie in double-overtime.

Parkside will finish the season at 5-9-2 overall and 5-7-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while the Miners moved to 7-6-3 overall and 6-6-2 in conference play.

There were fireworks early, as three goals were scored within the first 11 minutes of the game. The Miners took an early 1-0 lead in the 1st minute, but the Rangers were able to answer as Leki Prpa scored from the left side on an assist from Vic Vera. After a Missouri S&T goal in the 11th minute, Parkside answered once again, this time as Vera scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-2. The Miners took another lead, going up 3-2 with a goal in the 44th minute just before halftime.

In the second half, the Rangers scored two straight goals to take a 4-3 lead as Prpa connected with Burim Huseini for his second goal of the game and Jorge Garcia gave Parkside its first lead of the day with a goal in the 70th minute, this time on an unassisted goal after a shot by Prpa.
